Generic Dialogues, AI Refinement, Artume's Portrait and versions 0.2.8 and 0.2.9


Versions 0.2.8 and 0.2.9 have brought a lot of changes that should enrich the interaction with NPCs. Version 0.2.8 specifically included a rework of NPC plans for socialization and aggression, making them choose their goals with more nuance, and version 0.2.9's generic dialogues will help the player at identifying what the NPCs are thinking.


In order to do this, NPCs decide on a number of alliance targets, love targets, flirt targets, conquest targets, and rival targets, depending on their drives and their relationships with the other Candidates, which may later be used when selecting their missions on goals. A character with a high pleasure drive will select several flirt targets, a high cooperation drive will make the character more likely to seek alliances, high domination will result in seeking more characters to dominate, and so on. Keep this in mind when your actions provoke your peers to change their values!

The line used by Maaterasu in the previous image hints that she has the mission "gainSubmissive", which will make her far more likely to demand her enemy's servitude or, at least, steal their servant. In the following image, Claw is telling us that she has the "challenge" mission, which is more focused towards gaining merit.


The missions selected by the Candidates are also influenced by their drives: a character will not select the mission "gain submissive" if their domination and ambition drives are too low, while "challenge" requires some self-improvement and ambition. On a different direction, a character with above average cooperation and love may select the mission "liberateFriend".

This system also works for socialization missions, with a twist. If someone wants to speak with you and opens up with "I've just seen something that brightened my day. What was it? You, of course.", it may seem obvious that they're trying to flirt with you, but they may also have a goal to gain dominance over you. Similarly, lines that may otherwise seem friendly, may just be an attempt to initiate a conversation where they'll attempt to taunt you.


Likewise, dialogues have been added to other places of the game, such as sex scenes. These dialogues have a variety of requisites to be used, such as being caressing a specific genital, using certain continued actions, using hypnosis or bondage actions, being the target of a sadism action, and more. In the same line, orgasm descriptions will now be a bit more lively, with different descriptions to choose from for different circumstances, such as the orgasm being ruined or specific genitals being used.


There are a few other smaller features. Taking another character's virginity will now provoke relationship changes, and these changes may vary depending on the context. You'll also be able to check how the other characters' virginities were taken if you have a special relationship with them. There are now "casus bellis", which allow other characters to initiate a battle without infamy cost against any character that has offended them previously in the day, mind-blowing orgasms, which provoke higher relationship changes and some willpower loss, and more.
