Weapons and bondage, versions 0.2.6 and 0.2.7

This week, version 0.2.6 is going free, and Supporter versions 0.2.6 and 0.2.7 will be available for patrons of their respective tiers (read the whole changelogs here and here). Version 0.2.6 introduced the first equipment objects, and version 0.2.7 is bringing a lot of flavor for them. Today I'll be explaining these new features as they exist in the latest version, so don't be surprised to find that some of them aren't yet present in 0.2.6. Keep in mind that these updates bring a few other changes that won't be mentioned in this post.

On day 11, two Ashwalkers will arrive at the Passion Temple: Nimeresh and Abibdill. They bring weapons and bondage, and will ocasionally appear to sell it to you.

Weapons

Weapons are fairly straightforward: you equip one, and your stats increase and you'll gain access to a new action.

The Staff of battle raises physique and resilience and allows you to use Staff swipe. Staff swipe deals lust and control damage, although not as much as kick, but in return it makes you recover a small amount of control. Its usefulness scales with resilience, which makes the stat a bit more useful.

The Knuckles raise physique and agility and gives you Bold Jab. A higher-risk, higher-reward version of kick: it deals higher lust and control damage and it's easier to hit with it, but failing to land the attack will provoke control damage on the own user. Not a fun action to use against very agile characters.

The Wand raises intelligence and will, and gives access to Channel Aether, an action that allows the user to recover a percentage of their maximum willpower.

The Hand Fan raises perception and charisma, and teaches the user the action Flaunt. Flaunt gives the user a buff that raises physique, agility, will, perception and charisma by a small amount, and increases the damage dealt with sex-based attacks. It consumes social drive, which is the bar that is usually used the least during combat.

Not looking great for Nash here!

Bondage

On the other hand, bondage always has negative effects. All current bondage items decrease stats or other attributes in one way or the other, provoke temporary changes to relationships, and block a bodypart, which may be more or less problematic. I've also coded a few new features to enhance the flavor there, which we'll see soon.

There are a few ways for a character to get locked in bondage: locking themselves, as punishment after a battle, as a demand by a character with a dominant relationship, or as a punishment dealt by Drishtya - if you go over the infamy limit. Forcing bondage on the loser of a battle provokes variable infamy, depending on the item.

The collar is a very basic item that doesn't provoke excessive harm: it decreases will and charisma, and has the biggest increases in submission and sexual tension.

The blindfold decreases perception and empathy, and blocks the eyes. Having your eyes blocked will now block you from some information when you roam the map.

The mouth gag decreases charisma and, you guessed it: blocks the mouth. Are you tired of Claw bad-mouthing you whenever you try to become her friend? Your problems end here and now: she can't bad-mouth you if she can't talk!

The handcuffs and the feetcuffs decrease agility and physique, and agility and resilience, respectively, and block arms or legs, which is severely problematic if you have to fight.

The nipple-suckers and the buttplug block breasts and ass, raise weakness to sex-based attacks, and in the case of the buttplug, taints energy (which means that you'll waste extra energy when using energy-based actions). They also deal periodic lust damage.

The chastity belt and the chastity cage decrease will and intelligence, and block the pussy and the dick. Having all your genitals blocked guarantees that all of your orgasms will be ruined, which provokes you to heal less lust, lose willpower, energy and social drive, and usually raise sexual tension, submission and enmity with your partners. Don't let Valtan get close to you if she has these.

I stole Nash from Claw, but the kitty decided to pester me a short while later.

The latest update also brought a few additions to the Cheat Menu. Among them, you can now create any item for any Candidate, and unequip any item you want.

You can also take a peek at the stash that Drishtya has bought. The hag is keeping all the fun to herself.
