Set out to hunt monsters in versions 0.3.10 and 0.3.11

Welcome, Candidates. Besides the latest side-content for the first adventure, updates 0.3.10 and 0.3.11 also introduce Monster Hunting, a mechanic available in adventures that will allow you to fight and capture monsters in the wilds for various rewards, such as stat experience and new actions.

Whereas in the former version it's possible to hunt for monsters on your own, it's probably too dangerous for it to be worth it most of the time - in the latter version, Candidates are capable of teaming up in their hunting tasks.

The player can ask Candidates to aid them to hunt a specific monster through the newly added "Adventure Topics" menu, though they may not be willing to accept. The criteria for accepting monster hunting missions are these:
- Group strength: Does the combined strength of involved characters reach a certain threshold? If not, they may deem the idea too dangerous. Otherwise, extra strength will somewhat add to their willingness to accept.
- Relationship: Does this character like you in the slightest? Characters uncapable of trusting you with their life will be very unlikely to accept, while characters overly attached to you might be willing to lend you a hand even despite other factors playing against you.
- Wants/Does not want to hunt: Does this character want to hunt this specific monster? Each Candidate is hard-coded to want the reward of a specific type of monster, which severely determines what they may or may not want.
- Favour: Characters endebted to you will be far more likely to accept. Asking characters to aid you will make you owe favor to them instead, however.

Once they've agreed, you will be locked into following them for the duration of the mission, in order to prevent players from abusing the AI, and you will head towards the Hidden Camp, where you can ask Artume to hand you capture nets. If you do this alone, you will get a small conversation where Artume will explain some of her methods.

Once you have capture nets, finding monsters is as easy as roaming the swamps. You are bound to get attacked sooner or later. Being accompanied by a NPC who has the mission to capture a certain kind of monster will make it more likely for this monster to attack you.

Capture nets are usable once the target monster's health is somewhat depleted. Successfully landing this action will deplete your capture net and severely weaken the monster's stats, and will allow the leading character of your team to capture it if you win the battle.

Upon delivering the monsters to Artume, your group will spend a couple of hours to learn as much as possible from the creature. In the above image, my character already knows Hypnotic Glance, so she won't learn anything (might probably be best not to tell the others), but she will still gain a lot of experience. Artume will also learn any skill she gets the chance to observe, which might be useful for you in the future.

Remember that these updates also expand the side story content, which you can learn about in the changelogs here and here. With this, we're finally on the way to enter the final act of the Gleaming Caverns! Things will get heated from now on, so stay safe. Or as safe as the monsters let you.
